Streets barred: Bachstraße under complete shutdown

In the heart of Hürth-Efferen, a significant road renovation project is underway. From May 26 to around June 20, 2025, a section of Bachstraße, from Kaulardstraße to Berrenrather Straße, will undergo a transformation as the city updates its road surfaces and manhole covers.

Due to this construction, several bus stops will be temporarily suspended. These include "Bellerstraße", "Dreikönigenstraße", "Bachstraße/Haus Baden", and "Ahl Schull/VHS". However, alternative arrangements have been made for passengers.

Passengers of the affected stops "Bachstraße/Haus Baden" and "Ahl Schull/VHS" can use the regular stop "Ritterstraße" during this period. Similarly, passengers of "Graf-Stauffenberg-Straße" and "In den Höhnen" can utilize the regular stop "Kiebitzweg West". Passengers of "Bellerstraße" and "Hertzstraße" can use the reopened stop "Burg Efferen", or the regular stop "Kiebitzweg West" instead of "Pastor-Giesen-Straße". Passengers of "Dreikönigenstraße" can use the regular stops "Hertzstraße" or "Ritterstraße".

For those travelling towards Hürth Mitte (ZOB), buses will be rerouted via Bachstraße and Krankenhausstraße. In the same direction, it is recommended to use the regular stop "Kolpingstraße" instead of the stops "Ahl Schull/VHS", "Bachstraße/Haus Baden", and "Dreikönigenstraße".

Cyclists must dismount during the construction on Bachstraße. Vehicle access will not be possible during the asphalt construction phase, although residents can reach their properties by car outside of construction hours (7 am - 5 pm).

The road closure on Bachstraße will also impact the bus service of city bus line 712 in the direction of Effenen Stadtbahn. These buses will be rerouted via Esserstraße, Bachstraße, and then continue along the normal route via Ritterstraße.

It's important to note that while the stops are suspended, the houses can still be reached on foot via the sidewalks at all times. The responsible authority for the construction work on Bachstraße and Luxemburger Straße in Hürth-Efferen is the local municipal construction or public works department of Hürth.

In June, parts of Luxemburger Straße will also undergo road surface renewal. The suspension of the bus stops is due to the construction work on Bachstraße.

We advise passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and to check the latest updates on the city's transportation website for any changes or additional information.
