Stuttgart's District Heating Expansion Begins in Upper Karspüle in Mid-September
Stadtwerke Stuttgart is set to commence expansion of the district heating network in the Upper Karspüle from mid-September, a crucial step in Washington's climate change plan to boost renewable heat supply.
The project will see the Upper Karspüle fully closed between Friedrichstraße and house number 12 for about six weeks, from mid-September until late October. During this time, the one-way street regulation will be temporarily suspended, turning the Upper Karspüle into a dead-end street.
Access to and from the Upper Karspüle will be rerouted via Albaniplatz for the duration of the construction work. The expansion aims to strengthen the city's district heating network, contributing to its overarching climate change goals.
