Surprise Inspection Finds Bosnian Workers With Invalid Residence Permits

Kempten officials conducted a surprise inspection at a local construction site on Tuesday. They discovered ten Bosnian-Herzegovinian nationals working there, some with invalid or expired Slovenian residence permits. The residence permits and passports were confiscated and handed over to the Kempten immigration authority.

The inspection, led by the Financial Control of Illegal Work (FKS) in Kempten, found that the residence permits did not authorize economic activity. As a result, investigative proceedings have begun for suspected illegal residence.

The FKS officials, numbering 13, conducted the inspection randomly. The search did not reveal the name of the official responsible for queries at the Main Customs Office Augsburg. However, the general contact details of the Hauptzollamt Augsburg are available. The office is located at Prinzregentenplatz 3, 86150 Augsburg, and can be reached by phone at +49 821 5012157.

The discovery of the workers with invalid residence permits has led to an investigation. The Kempten immigration authority now holds the confiscated documents. Further details will be provided as the investigation progresses.
