Three Turkish-German Businessmen Jailed for Wage Theft and Social Security Fraud
Three Turkish-origin men from Crailsheim and Feuchtwangen have been convicted by the Economic Chamber of the Stuttgart Regional Court. The men, who operated a group in the concrete industry, were sentenced to a total of 140 months in prison for withholding and misappropriating wages, defrauding SOKA Bau, and failing to pay social security and social fund contributions.
The men, who were convicted on November 19, 2024, received individual sentences of four years, four years, and three years and eight months. Their crimes spanned from June 2019 to September 2023, during which they generated millions in turnover. Despite their substantial earnings, they paid only a small amount of the required social security and social fund contributions.
Marcel Schröder, the press spokesperson of the Hauptzollamt Heilbronn, was responsible for the press release regarding this case.
The men's actions have resulted in significant financial losses for SOKA Bau and the German social security system. Their convictions serve as a reminder of the importance of upholding labour laws and contributing to social funds.
