Toyota Kirloskar Motor Sales Surge 16% in September 2025
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reported a robust sales performance in September 2025, with a 16% increase from the previous year. The company sold 31,091 units, driven by GST benefits and festive demand. Meanwhile, Toyota introduced several enhancements to its vehicles and announced new brand ambassadors.
TKM's sales growth was gradual from June to August 2025, peaking in August and maintaining a strong performance in September. The company sold 27,089 units domestically and exported 4,002 units, marking a significant increase in exports. For the first half of the financial year (April-September 2025), TKM sold 184,959 units, a 14% increase from the same period in 2024.
During this period, TKM introduced several key enhancements to its vehicles, including new packages, colours, and a hybrid electric vehicle. The company also enhanced the Rumion with six airbags as standard and associated with DRUM TAO as brand ambassadors. Toyota's production capacity of up to 342,000 units annually ensures timely deliveries and safety features to meet growing demand.
Despite a 9.2% decline in sales from August 2025, TKM's September performance showed improvement over previous months. Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at TKM, credited the positive results to GST reforms and festive season momentum. Meanwhile, Toyota continues to strengthen its product offerings and brand presence in the market.
