Get ready for some serious traffic congestion on the A46 in Düsseldorf in the coming weeks! The cables of the Fleher Bridge, linking Düsseldorf and Neuss, are undergoing an inspection, so expect to hit some snags.

To prep for the inspection, the A46 between Düsseldorf-Bilk and Neuss-Uedesheim will be shut down in both directions from Friday, June 27, 10 pm, to Monday, June 30, 5 am. post-inspection, expect the cable inspection to stretch over the following two weeks, from Monday, June 30, 5 am, to Monday, July 14, 5 am. During this period, the A46 will only accommodate two lanes per direction.
Mark your calendars for another shutdown on Friday, August 1, 10 pm, to Monday, August 4, 5 am, to carry out corrosion protection work on the bridge and other maintenance tasks. During the closures, traffic will be diverted via the A57, A1 (Rheinbrücke Leverkusen), and A3.
