Global Law Firm Norton Rose Fulbright Launches Innovation-Focused Subsidiary LX Studio
Norton Rose Fulbright, a leading global law firm, has announced the launch of LX Studio, a US-based subsidiary dedicated to innovation and digitally-driven service strategies. The new entity is designed to accelerate legal innovation, improve client outcomes, and keep pace with changing industry and technological landscapes.
LX Studio's business revolves around providing legal operations solutions for corporate legal departments. The subsidiary supports the firm’s expertise in intellectual property (IP) and litigation by integrating technology and innovative strategies into their legal service delivery.
According to Christy Bentz, the Chief Client Value & Innovation Officer of Norton Rose Fulbright, LX Studio is intended to build, co-develop, and partner with clients on personalized service solutions, responding to the evolving expectations of legal service delivery. The aim is to provide clients with more than just legal advice; they want problem-solving capabilities, and LX Studio is being built around this idea.
Jeff Cody, the US Managing Partner of Norton Rose Fulbright, emphasized that LX Studio's focus is to provide innovative solutions for clients to achieve their legal and business objectives efficiently. The subsidiary will collaborate with legal technology companies, alternative legal services providers, and develop products and services for the firm's lawyers and clients.
LX Studio is part of the global program and will house some of the firm's existing technology products, including the award-winning privacy compliance tool suite, NT Analyzer. The subsidiary may also partner with or invest in novel technologies and alternative legal services offerings to extend the firm's existing platform.
Gina Shishima, the Chief Strategy and Operations Partner of Norton Rose Fulbright, stated that LX Studio allows the firm to capitalize on its resources and innovative focus, bringing new opportunities for offering new and different services to support clients. The subsidiary aims to identify, develop, and invest in the best technology, helping clients put it to use quickly, effectively, and comprehensively.
Christy Bentz emphasized the importance of meeting clients where they are, with LX Studio providing a platform for more intentional collaboration on the 'how' of legal service delivery. Bentz believes that LX Studio will drive legal innovation, improve client outcomes, and keep pace with changing industry and technological landscapes through digital transformation and novel legal service models.
