New Dacia Duster Cargo: A Versatile Light Commercial Vehicle
Dacia has expanded its lineup with the introduction of the Duster Cargo, a full factory conversion of the popular Duster SUV. This light commercial vehicle is now available in several European countries, including the United Kingdom, Spain, Poland, Turkey, and Italy.
The Duster Cargo transforms from a passenger vehicle into a van by removing the rear seat assembly. Under the hood, the base engine is a 1.2-litre mild hybrid with 130 PS and 230 Nm of torque, paired with a manual six-speed transmission and standard all-wheel drive. For those seeking more power, an alternative engine option is the 155 PS hybrid powertrain, which comes with an automated transmission and front-wheel drive.
The Duster Cargo retains all manufacturer warranties, just like its passenger counterpart, and is available in a single trim level, the Expression. Prices for the all-wheel-drive petrol version start at approximately €26,500, while the hybrid version costs around €27,200, both excluding taxes.
In terms of cargo features, the Duster Cargo comes equipped with a partition grille between the front seats and the cargo area, a removable cargo cover for privacy, and tinted glass on the rear and sides. The cargo area features a solid wooden loading floor with a durable surface coating and non-slip rubber mats. Additional tie-down points are available for securing cargo.
For added convenience, the Duster Cargo has been homologated as an N1 commercial vehicle and comes with a maximum payload of 430 kg. It is available in two exterior paint options: Glacier White and the metallic colours Pearl Black and Shadow Grey.
At the moment, the Duster Cargo is only offered in the UK. However, it's worth noting that Dacia offers the Duster Cargo in several other European countries. The hybrid powertrain, previously only available in the Bigster, is now an option for the Duster Cargo, adding another layer of versatility to this practical and affordable light commercial vehicle.
