Velbert's Main & Finance Committee to Discuss Christmas Market, Traffic & Funding on Oct 7

The Main and Finance Committee of Velbert will hold a meeting on Tuesday, October 7th at 5 PM in the Velbert Hall of the Town Hall. The public is welcome to attend the session, which will cover a range of topics including the Christmas Market 2025, traffic regulations, and funding matters.

The committee will delve into the Ordinance on the Opening of Sales Outlets in the Public Interest, specifically in relation to the upcoming Christmas Market on December 7, 2025. Proposals to alter the traffic regulation of Wiesenweg Street into a dead-end will also be discussed, along with the amendment of the City of Velbert's guidelines for funding from the old building fund in the 'Urban Center Neviges' program area. Additionally, the redesign of outdoor facilities and facades in urban development and renovation areas is on the agenda.

Budget matters will be addressed, with a proposal to change the traffic regulation of Wiesenweg Street to a cul-de-sac. The possibilities for establishing a nursing home on the former Hertie site will be explored, and funding for inclusion through and in sport will also be discussed.
