Rise of a Brewing Legacy: Fabian Veltins Steps into the Spotlight

Successor of Veltins' founder assumes role in company management - Veltins has a new leader inherited from its founder.

Brewery Veltins is making waves with a fresh face in its top management. Fabian Veltins, a 35-year-old brewer and business economist, will be taking on the role of Marketing Managing Director starting July 1st. This move marks Fabian's ascent to executive leadership, with the company's long-time CEO, Volker Kuhl (61), still at the helm.

Fabian, a descendant of the founding family, has been honing his skills with the brewery for three years, navigating various roles after previously working for other breweries. His ascent to top management is a testament to his dedication and extensive brewery experience.

The new appointment reflects a strategic leadership transition. Volker Kuhl, the seasoned CEO, will continue to lead the brewery for now, paving the way for Fabian's future ascension. Last year, Fabian expressed his ambition to lead Brewery Veltins one day, with his aunt Susanne Veltins supporting him in a measured and thoughtful manner.

Susanne, who stepped down from the managing board at the turn of the year, remains the sole shareholder of the brewery. She has no children, making Fabian her closest family member to carry on the Veltins legacy. The leadership transition underscores a family succession plan, with Susanne giving Fabian the time and space to fully immerse himself in all aspects of the business before taking on broader responsibilities.

Based in Meschede-Grevenstein, Brewery Veltins is one of Germany's leading breweries, consistently ranking third by national beer consumption volume. In the previous year, the brewery reported a revenue of 459 million euros and a record production of 3.36 million hectoliters, highlighting its strong market position. Fabian's rise in management is part of the brewery's ongoing strategy to sustain and build upon its success.

To further the success of Brewery Veltins, there might be a need for 'finance' to support the blooming 'business' and sustain the production of 'agricultural products', such as malt and hops essential for beer production. Fabian Veltins, the rising 'star' in the brewery's top management, could explore avenues of 'business' partnerships that could provide 'aid for the production of agricultural products', ensuring the continuity of exceptional 'agricultural products' quality, a vital aspect of Brewery Veltins' reputation.
