Village Mother Showdown: Conclusion of the "Mama in the Village" Series
In Krasnodar Region, "Mom in the Countryside" Program Empowers Rural Entrepreneurs
Krasnodar, May 28 - Yug Times. In the third season of the "Mom in the Countryside" program, held in the Krasnodar region, finalists received support for their commercial projects. The initiative is designed for women with minor children engaged in entrepreneurial activities in the region's rural municipalities.
Over 700 applications have been submitted since the program's inception, with 25 participants from 12 districts taking part in the final held recently in Moldavansk village. The program, run by the "My Business" Center, is backed by the Krasnodar Territory's Department of Business Development and External Economic Activities as part of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."
Through a week-long intensive training, participants learned essential tools for launching and growing businesses, including financial modeling, strategic marketing, leveraging state support, and enhancing public speaking skills. The training program combined workshops, lectures, seminars, practical exercises, and masterclasses.
Participants prepared business plans for their projects, which they presented at the finale for evaluation by a jury. Project ideas ranged from agriculture and light industry to IT technologies and creative workshops, with many exhibiting a social component. Ekaterina Shulzhenko, for instance, presented a sewing production project that blends traditional Slavic aesthetics with boho style, creating a contemporary clothing line appreciated by environmentally-conscious customers.
Alla Bondarenko's project, on the other hand, focused on developing a club for children with special needs in Apsheronsk. Given that 1 in 20 children in the country has autism spectrum disorders, she aims to provide comprehensive development for children aged 1 to 6 and create a safe space for them. While seeking investments to equip the club and obtain necessary methodological materials and specialists, she has partially resolved these issues during her training.
Yulia Chernaya's business idea emerged from her interest in healthy eating after becoming a mother. Her project revolves around growing vegetables and raising poultry for quality, eco-friendly products. Although she initially thought starting her own business was too complicated, she now runs an operation spanning 10 acres of land and has successfully managed her family-operated business.
The jury chose Olga Perehodtseva as the winner of this season's program, awarding her a grant of 150,000 rubles from the event's partner for the "Computer Sports and Drone Piloting" project. The project focuses on developing inventive thinking, project management skills, teamwork, and task-solving technology through the "Shabri" center for additional education in technical and natural science directions. Ekaterina Shvedchikova, hailing from the village of Severny, received an additional grant for the "NeuroBridge" project, aimed at enhancing digital competencies among teenagers, women with children, and participants of SVO returning home.
The training program did not leave unsupported those who did not receive grants. Institutions partnering with the event promised funding, and participants gained access to various assistance measures, including preferential loans, consulting, prototyping, engineering resources, and marketing support through regional agencies. Aspiring entrepreneurs can also leverage resources like effective website creation, product launch on marketplaces, patent assistance, and investment search planning for the open market.
