VNG CEO Ulf Heitmuüller's Contract Extended Amid Green Gas Push
Ulf Heitmueller, the CEO of VNG AG, has had his contract extended by three years. The decision comes after a successful period under his leadership, marked by strategic transformation and a focus on green gases.
Heitmueller, who took office in 2016, has significantly driven the development of VNG. He aims to continue reliably supplying customers with natural gas while increasing the use of green gases like hydrogen and biogas.
VNG, a pan-European corporate group with over 20 companies and around 1,900 employees, ensures a secure energy supply in Germany. Under Heitmueller's leadership, the company has successfully further developed its market position and stabilized it over the year 2022.
The Supervisory Board, led by Dirk Guesewell, praised Heitmueller's focused leadership and strategic thinking. Heitmueller will now remain at the helm of the board until 2029.
Heitmueller is pleased with the contract extension and looks forward to continuing the successful cooperation with VNG's employees, customers, and partners. The transformation of VNG towards green gases has been steadily advanced under his leadership, positioning the company for a sustainable future.
