Born in 1962, Sołowow hails from Kielce, approximately 170 kilometers south of Warsaw. Schooled there and at the Kielce University of Technology, he commenced his career in the late 1980s, laying the groundwork for his empire to come.
The construction company Mitex, which he founded, was sold to Eiffage in 2002, yielding a fortune that Sołowow channeled into strategic investments in the burgeoning Polish stock market. This shrewd move marked his rise to become one of the most powerful players on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
