Whisky Hammer Opens First European Base in Netherlands
Whisky Hammer, an online whisky auctioneer, has set up its first operational base in Alphen aan den Rijn, South Holland, Europe. The move aims to support business expansion in the region and attract more European buyers and sellers to its monthly auctions.
The company has appointed Tim Lagraauw as general manager and Evan Urquhart as auction manager for the new European base. They will work together to accommodate European clients from October 1, 2025. Whisky Hammer has also worked with Dutch advisors to ensure full compliance with EU regulations, including EU Directive 2020/262.
Co-founder and CEO Daniel Milne expects the new base to be pivotal to the company's long-term growth strategy in Europe. This expansion will enable Whisky Hammer to serve private individuals in countries like Italy, Spain, Czechia, France, and Sweden.
Whisky Hammer plans to grow its team in the Netherlands over the coming months to support this business expansion. The company's first operational base in Europe is set to open in Alphen aan den Rijn, with the aim of attracting more European buyers and sellers to its auctions.
