Wulff Med Tec Welcomes 'seniorTrainer' Team, Showcases Sustainable Mattress Production
Wulff Med Tec, a Fedderingen-based mattress manufacturer, recently welcomed the 'seniorTrainer' team of Competence Team Dithmarschen for a tour. The company, started part-time 40 years ago by Hinrich Wulff, is now a thriving business led by his son, Heino Wulff.
Heino Wulff, the managing director, greeted the visitors and shared the company's history. Today, Wulff Med Tec is known for its high-quality mattresses, produced using a combination of automated and manual processes. The mattress production involves cutting, gluing, and covering with a protective fleece, with the final step done by hand to ensure quality.
The company has expanded its production capacity with a 4000 square meter hall to meet increasing demand. This growth is supported by the company's energy self-sufficiency, achieved through photovoltaic panels and a wind turbine. In the summer months, Wulff Med Tec generates all the energy it needs, even powering several electric vehicles. The company also produces its own covers, maintaining quality standards throughout the production process.
The 'seniorTrainer' team, led by spokesperson Heinz-Jürgen Templin, thanked Heino Wulff for the informative tour and presented a small gift. Wulff Med Tec continues to grow and innovate, proving that a commitment to quality and sustainability can drive success in the mattress industry.
